Role: Software Engineer - Sr. Java Developer

Experience: 6+ years

Job Description:

1. The Senior Software Engineer position sits within the India CoE Legal Tech Cloud Services Delivery organization.
2. You are an experienced individual with a strong technical skillset who will work closely with other members of the team (and other stakeholder groups within company) to scope, develop, and deliver software solutions, handle production issues and complex inquiries for cloud customers, and work on any special projects as assigned.

You are great at:

1. Working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels
2. Taking end-to-end ownership of projects – understanding requirements, scoping, developing and testing solutions (individually and with others).
3. Communicating clearly and effectively to ensure progress and issues remain transparent to stakeholders in different teams around the globe (US / UK / Europe)
4. Providing basic to intermediate technical production/applications support and assistance for customers who use a cross section of applications.
5. Working independently to gather information, pose workarounds, carry out necessary research, and provide in-depth analysis to resolve development / production / application issues, customer requests and inquiries, escalating to a lead or manager when appropriate.
6. Working in group or independently on side projects as needed and assigned

What it takes:

1. 5+ years of industry experience
2. Produce high quality code as per design specifications
3. Utilize analytical skills to troubleshoot and fix complex code defects
4. Utilize data architecture skills to design solutions ensuring quality and adherence to company standards
5. Collaborate with multiple teams to plan and execute tasks to achieve team objectives
6. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and escalate issues/risks as necessary
7. Participate in end-to-end software development in an Agile development framework.
8. Technical skillsets with at least 3+ years of industry experience in the following areas:
9. Strong programming practices with object-oriented development experience
10. Solid experience in Java and J2EE framework, Java8 Lambda functions, method expressions and Streams
11. Spring framework, REST APIs, Hibernate, Spring Security (OAuth).
12. Strong Knowledge in developing Spring Boot Applications
13. A strong understanding of application and systems architecture, high level and low level design
14. HTML, CSS and any one JavaScript framework (VueJS is preferred)
15. Excellent analytical and debugging skills
16. Good experience in algorithm design
17. Strong knowledge of design patterns
18. Prior experience in building enterprise grade applications

Good to have:

1. Liquibase scripts
2. Gradle
