Primary Skill: SQL Server DBA

Secondary Skill: Non-relational databases like Solr, redis, dynamo Db, mySql, Knowledge on cloud technologies like AWS, Azure or GCP   

Band: U3 

Location: Preferably Bangalore   

Job Description:

1. 3+ years of Database administrator – 24x7 support (24x5 in office and 24x2 on-call) 
2. Database management and maintenance, with skills of relational and non-relational databases like Solr, redis, dynamo Db, mySql 
3. Monitor DB query response time using AWS provided tool and analyze if response is breaching KPI threshold set by company
4. Fix the DB related issue or alert relevant team members or 3rd party service providers like AWS managed DB services for issues like infrastructure or network changes / degradation. 
5. Scheduled preventive maintenance like cache and memory checks, log rotation, patch upgrade etc. 
6. Prepare Database management policies in concurrence with team
7.  Database server deployment and management 
8. Applying latest/required patches and patch sets and upgrade databases to the applied patch set level. 
9. Applying patches for specific bug fixes as provided by Database vendor. 
10. Consolidation of database resources to conserve resources and cost when possible; when space within the database remains consistently unused it can be reorganized and reused where needed. 
11. Coordinate database downtime and outages with the concerned personnel/user teams when necessary. 
12. Perform database storage capacity management. 
13. Online and offline defragmentation. 
14. Internal database space management.
