Role:Tableau Developer

Experience: 3-4 years

Location: Bangalore / Bombay (Remote)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand function/business requirements. Build prototypes for the selected reports /dashboards with discussion from various stakeholders.
• Schedule & manage data flows from BVC Source systems/Data Mart to load into Tableau environment using ETL Tool.
• Clean , analyse& standardize data along with outlier analysis using SQL Should be able to join multiple tables to get the desired unnormalized table for Tableau reports.
• Create report views& dashboards in Tableau. Create calculated fieldsbyusing custom coding in Tableau.
• Create interactive filters, parameters, and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau. Should know how to use LOD functions.
• Testing & error handling of reports /dashboards. Conduct user-acceptance testing.
• Build and publish interactive dashboards on Tableau Server/Online
• Have the confidence to work cross-functionally with various departments including business stakeholders and technical personnel to exchange ideas.

Requirements:

1.Non Negotiables

• 3-4years of experience as a Tableau Developer. Extensive hands-on experience with Tableau Data Prep & Tableau Desktop (dashboard creation, report authoring and troubleshooting, data source management).
• Experience working with large data sets&able to write simple SQL queries or formulae to create calculated fields.
• Should understand basic statistics principles- including histograms, Pareto charts, sampling & distribution of data.

2. Good to Have

• Empirical understanding of data systems (BI analytics, data blending, data warehousing, data ETL, etc.) for process automation and standardization.
• Knowledge & experience on data visualization best practices, with a focus on enhancing user interaction and user experience.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like R & Python added advantage.
