Role: Vlocity Success Lead (Program Manager)

Job Descrption:

1. We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to organize and coordinate programs. You will provide strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture
2. You will also oversee the progress of operations
3. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner
4. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics
5. The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization

Primary Responsibilities:

There are two key aspects of the Senior Project Manager role: Project Execution and Trusted Adviser.  Details follow.

Project Execution:

• Owns the entire project lifecycle from initiation through closure
• Monitors and manages project financials, scope, and schedule to ensure project stays on track for assigned client projects. Drives implementations of high-quality cloud solutions
• Acts as primary day-to-day point of contact for the client and the operational aspects of the project. Objective focused on building strong customer relationships, helping project team to achieve an 8 or greater out of 10 on satisfaction surveys
• Facilitates or co-leads with customer Project Manager regular status meetings with project team, sponsors, and all stakeholders
• Generates and distributes timely status reports, time usage reports, and expense reports weekly
• Manages risks and issue tracking throughout the project
• Adheres to the Appirio Way Methodology and utilizes a project site to track all risks, issues and general communication plans for the project. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Assists consultant team members in the delivery of client presentations during requirements, design, pilot and user acceptance testing sessions. Reviews deliverables prepared by the team before sharing with the client
• Contributes to at least one area of domain expertise (in addition to project management) such as business analysis, Agile development practices and Vlocity cloud offerings
• Understands the Cloud Computing market. Can articulate the core benefits of Cloud Computing solutions and understands basic implementation methodologies associated with Cloud solutions Provides mentoring, guidance and general care and feeding to project team members, including offshore team members
• Travels to client site as required
• Mentors junior staff for both project and career growth and make staff development recommendations
• Achieves published company utilization targets
• Candidates who have handled across geography complex projects for $5M+ P&L will be preferable
• PMP or CSM certification is a must-have, along with which other desirable certifications are PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP, MPM, CPM, PMITS, PPM
• Should have Vlocity Platform Consultant Certification
• Brings experience with CRM software (Vlocity, Salesforce, Siebel, Clarify, Vantive, Peoplesoft, NetSuite, etc.), Messaging software (Google, Exchange, Lotus Notes), or Financial/HR software (Workday, Peoplesoft, SAP, etc.)
• This being a senior project leadership role, usually, an individual with overall 11-14 years of experience along with 10+ years of project experience and 7+ years of management experience with packaged software or custom development implementations, would likely be able to exhibit all traits
• Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects
• Decide on suitable strategies and objectives
• Coordinate cross-project activities
• Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff
• Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
• Apply change, risk and resource management
• Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors
• Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI
• Resolve projects’ higher scope issues
• Prepare reports for program directors

Trusted Advisor:

• Manages day-to-day client interaction, sets and manages client expectations, develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties
• Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
• Contributes domain expertise (in addition to project management) in multiple areas such as business analysis, vertical or horizontal domain expertise, Agile development practices and Vlocity/Salesforce cloud offerings
• Facilitates client strategy workshops and requirements sessions and helps lead the development/refinement of client business and IT strategies. Assesses architectural approaches and develops high level designs for the implementation of those strategies
• Should have experience translating business goals into actionable plans and strategies that reflect the requirements and opportunities within area-of-control, align area-of-control account and market opportunities with upstream strategic plans and metrics
• Should have experience creating/developing PM community and team to deliver successful results and help generate new business
• Should be able to lead proposal/pursuit & business development activities across functions and actively support Thought leadership, Market intelligence, Competitive Analysis and Knowledge / content management
• Contributes beyond the current engagement, functioning as leader within the organization. Examples may include being a COE lead or subject matter expert, Community leader, or Silver Lining lead

Domain Expertise:

Has domain expertise either functionally or technically in one or more of the following areas:

• Functional: Sales, Service, Finance, HR, PSE, Custom, Project Management, Requirements Analysis, Training, Change Management/User Adoption, Telecommunication
• Technical: SFDC, Vlocity, Custom Application Development, Integration, Data Migration, User Interface Design

More Guidelines:

• Overall, 13 - 16 years of experience along with 10+ years of project experience and 7+ years of management experience with packaged software or custom development implementations
• 12+ months completed in Project Leadership roles like Sr.PM, Account Director, Governance Lead, Business Tech Architect etc.
• 3+ Enterprise implementations completed with overall customer satisfaction scores at 8 or greater
• Expected Revenue or P&L management of at least $10M+ with a delivered margin of 40%+
• Consistent track record of managing project budget sizes of $1M and more, with ratings of Rock Star or Crushing It on Project Feedback forms from Engagement Managers
• Overall performance evaluated at Rock-Star or Crushing It
• Required Vlocity Platform Consultant Certification
